in cathedrals of the forest i'll ride on 'til the road meets the seathe first thing people notice is her big ears and her equally-large eyes and smile. after that, they realize how leggy and tall she is. that's usually when everyone finally notices the bagpipes slung at her hip.found by two midlanders in the shroud as an infant, sohna had a happy childhood with a band of non-miqo'te artisans who fashioned some of the staves and bows for gridania's wood wailers and archers. she lost most of her memories of her youth during the calamity. in an effort to stave off more, similar losses, she keeps a sketch diary now, carefully cataloguing her experiences, the people she meets, and the places she's seen.she has a lifelong affinity for waterfowl and other birds, and has felt music in her soul since before she can remember.almost everyone calls her sohna. her friends, though, can call her riddles.

canon classes: brd, drk, maybe fsha foundling raised in gridania by artisans. a wildling, though she doesn't know it, with an affinity for the twelveswood and its sounds. whimsical, heart of gold, full of music. she will drop everything to answer when a toddler hands her a toy tomestone. she once fretted so much about her houseplants that she worried they would turn into a primal.she has terrible stage fright. her fray is a small black cat with huge golden lantern eyes. they normally appear at the foot of the stage where she performs. sohna is a scion. she is a warrior of light but not the warrior of light; her echo allows her to speak with animals and plants.sohna loses most of her ability to manipulate aether after an accident in the burn. stephanivien fashions a little aetherwell for her that can be used in or out of combat.msq: sohna is present but not central at the steps of faith (she loses part of her ear here), the nadaam, and the ghimlyt dark. she is pulled to the first when the exarch's attention drifts while he's fishing. most of her time during the final days is spent in sharlayan and labyrinthos.

race/gender: moonkeeper miqo'te, 28 years old, she/they, nonbinary
eyes: bright blue
ears: pointy, fluffy (gray). there's a notch missing from her right ear (see doodle). very expressive.
hair: midback-length, gray, with honey blonde highlights, usually in a simple plait that sometimes flops over her shoulder.
skin: pale, grayish white, with lots of freckles! :) a bandaged scar along her left jaw. her clan markings are very faint, almost invisible, silver. white, faintly glowing (no shadows, but doesn't show through fabric) mark across her shoulderblades - see doodle.
face expressions: wide grins, tendency for smirks and winks; big smiles show off her pointy cat teeth.build: tall for a miqo (5'8"/173cm)! slender stringbean. breadstick. mostly flat chest, minimal hip curve. tail is long and fluffy, like a norwegian forest cat or maine coon.
